Protecting the hearing of workers who use headphones on a regular basis is important. Call centre workers and those using headsets may be at risk to loud noise directly in their ears.
The Microphone In Real Ear Dosimeter System has been designed for measuring the personal noise exposure levels for such workers. Using a simple system where the microphone sits comfortably in the ear the exact noise levels and dose levels of headset wearers can be measured accurately.
The single or dual channel dosimeter can measure one ear or both ears simultaneously where required and store data for later analysis. An optional audio recording function also allows for later playback to assess and identify noise.
The system can also be used by those wearing ear defenders to assess whether the headphones are working correctly. An additional single octave option also means direct comparison with hearing protection data.
The In Ear Dosimeter System measures noise directly in the ear canal which gives a more accurate assessment of personal noise exposure for people wearing headsets. Each microphone is also covered by a protective silica pipe for maximum comfort and hygiene. The in ear microphones are small enough to sit comfortably in the ear and not obstruct the wearer in any way during the normal course of their work.
